Terms of Service

1. Service

VocaEasy is an online service that helps users understand English vocabulary in context, save meanings to vocabulary lists, and practice saved words through themed conversations.

2. Accounts

You need an account to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep your email address up to date.

The service is not intended for children under 16. If the law in your country requires a higher age to use online services, that higher age applies.

3. Subscriptions, quotas, and billing

VocaEasy may offer free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Stripe handles payment details and card processing. Plan limits, quotas, and included features may differ by plan and may be updated over time.

If you exceed a quota, the related feature may be limited until the next billing period or until you upgrade. If a payment fails or a subscription expires, access may return to the free plan.

4. Cancellations and refunds

You can manage or cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal inside the app. Cancellations usually take effect at the end of the current billing period unless Stripe or the app states otherwise.

Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we explicitly agree otherwise.

5. User content

You keep ownership of the sentences, selected words, vocabulary lists, practice messages, preferences, and account data you submit. You give VocaEasy permission to process that content only as needed to provide the service, secure the app, enforce quotas, and improve reliability.

Do not submit illegal, harmful, confidential, or third-party content that you do not have permission to use.

6. AI-assisted results

Contextual meanings, translations, explanations, examples, and practice replies may be created or assisted by automated systems. They may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should review important results before relying on them.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• abuse, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the service;
• circumvent plan limits, security controls, or rate limits;
• use the service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity;
• attempt to access another user's account or data;
• resell the service without written permission.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may update, suspend, or remove features when needed for security, legal, operational, or product reasons.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close access if you breach these terms, create security risk, fail to pay, or use the app in a harmful way.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, VocaEasyis provided "as is" and "as available". We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.

11. Privacy and data deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled. You can request account or data deletion by contacting support@vocaeasy.com. Some payment or legal records may be retained where required by law or by payment providers.
